Arun is presently co-heads the Telecommunications Media and Technology (TMT) group at Rand Merchant Bank, one of the largest investment banks in Africa. He helps lead the bank’s strategy and key relationships in the sector with large corporates. Arun has over a decade of expertise in mergers and acquisitions, capital raising, restructures, and strategy; across a number of key sectors in Sub-Saharan Africa. During his career at RMB, he has advised and helped execute on landmark transactions worth over c.USD15 billion.

Before his career at RMB he was a member of the assurance team at Deloitte and prior to that was a tax lecturer at the University of Cape Town.

Arun holds a B.BusSci (Hons), PGDA, an M.Com (Financial Management) from the University of Cape Town and is currently reading for an MSc (Major Programmes) at the University of Oxford. He is also a qualified chartered accountant (SA) and a CFA charter holder.
