Telecommunications Engineer and Entrepreneur with an MBA in Business and Administration from IESE Business School with more than 20 years of experience working for telecommunications operators.
For the last 10 years, Norman has been holding the Chief Executive Officer position at AFR-IX Telecom, developing state of the art Data Communication Networks in Africa.
AFR-IX telecom, with 14 subsidiaries in the main African markets and more than 60 PoPs in the Africa continent, is a licensed operator that delivers Data, MPLS, SDN and advanced Managed solutions to Corporates and Telecommunication Operators.
Additionally, Norman Albi is co - founder of Barcelona Cable Landing Station, an open access cable landing point for Submarine Cable Operators that started operations in 2022 and that has capabilities to host up to 8 incoming submarine cables. The station has already 2 submarine cable systems landed.
In the subsea space, Norman Albi is co-founder and Chief Executive Officer position at Medusa Submarine Cable System, a new large-scale submarine system linking 9 Atlantic and Mediterranean North African and European countries. Medusa SCS is RFS in 2025 and has 24 Fiber Pairs with 20 Tbs/per FP.
